水曜日, 8月 09, 2006 First off I know that there are a lot of Americans here and I don't mea to lambast anybody. However, as one of the people who have this, I suppose people should know some of the reasons why we have this. Politically speaking, I don't really care if US dips inother countries' affairs. In fact, I think all countries have a stake in other countries because we're all interceonnected. I don't mind that they're really influential, but what I do mind is the proliferation of trash culture in that once-respected country. Before my general discussion, I would like to define what trash culture is, first. trash culture is the prevailing pop culture of today. Irresponsible actions that bear scarring consequences. What am i talking about? Adultery in general bearing STDs and abortions, reality TV shows exhibiting vouyeuristic culture (and then clamoring for privacy afterwards...make up your minds!), promoting a standard of beauty resulting in reduction of self-esteem and illnesses. All irresponsible actions not accounting the consequences. Is our mantra today, live for the moment? Destroy your own future then! About 50 years ago, world-wide anti-american sentiments weren't there even if they did meddle in others' affairs. Why? Because the U.S. had moral high ground. They set a policy and carried on with it, proving in the long run, why and how it works and uplifting their own country and constituents from the Great Depression. Enriching themselves and emanating peace and prosperity. What do they have now? Ask any rational person out there and the only reason why they like the US is because it can give them opportunities (i.e. jobs) not in their own home countries. Take that away and we have a bunch of people whining against them. People such as those in Europe have become disenchanted with the US (perhaps except for UK) because they really don't need US. in fact, given enough time, they might actually go against US if their satisfaction level with them has plummeted six feet under. They say things but do otherwise. HYPOCRITES! No wonder why there are a lot of terrorists set against them and their allies. They say, "Peace be to you. We'll help" and then at the fine print, you read, "After that, you have to be like us." be as immoral as that? Come on! I'd rather be what i am than be American and be the 1/4 statistic of people having AIDS. (yup, US is second to Africa) and for the record, i don't want to be demeaned as a woman. Yes we are different but US highlights the woman as a sex tool! Proof? long discussion but you can read Boteach's Hating women. What he says is true and very disturbing. As for me? I have to go.
