月曜日, 2月 13, 2006 Nyao! Me's here again, bummed that my laptop is malfunctioning like hell for some reason. doesn't want to connect to the net. i tried removing the doggone bridge but it always says "an unexpected error occurred while configuring the network bridge" i tried repairing it and the same thing pops up...it's no use. even the ITC of the schoool were stumped! I wonder what happened? Anyway, I skipped LSAIDE duty in the registrar's office today. Oh yeah, the other day, I saw my CGPA. I got a dismal 2.074 from my previous 2.765 (FYI: 4.O highest 1.0 lowest in denominations of .05 and failing mark 0.0...no such grade as 0.5) just because of Stat...I don't even want to remember it. Anyway...I saw the grades of those in the Society too. I didn't know that even the great, almighty, acad-maniac, Diana would have failing marks (yes I would reiterate that with an 'S'. if it were me, i would really expect that...hello! BS Math major in actuarial statistics...shoot me please! The others had pretty much decent grades, but none exceptional...except maybe some of the freshmen. Not much to gauge yet, anyway. Today was pretty much a relaxing day. We had a bazaar the whole day, a workshop on Filipino in the morning, had jokes and some chat stuff with Sakamoto sensei. Discussed about power and international relations in International Studies, photocopied a pile of handouts, fixed up some of the pages in the site (http://www.vinnovations.tk) although unuploaded yet, made a genogram case in Family Business Management...now in the process of making my own family's (que horor!), and been asked in the hot seat by Dr. Tullao when no one was answering what the definition of human capital was (I knew what it was but I can't define it in economic terms). I was actually surprised that he turned to me when no one gave a decent answer. i fumbled a lot before getting it. Geez! That was a bit...scary. I mean, it's THE Dr. TULLAO! Then I helped close down the booth and consolidate the financials. Then I talked to the heads of the Discipline Office then, lastly, went to the debate finals of the La Salle Open. I'm so sad when I heard the anomalous set up of Kim. The motion was: THBT game shows like Wowowee does more harm to the poor than good by exploitation. They were up against CSB and his set-up was that these shows exploit the poor by saying that they don't really give to the poor and they hoard the money to themselves. Given that it may be true it was, first of all, still an assertion, and secondly, his context was the recent incident at the show and was thus very unstrategic. If CSB saw through that, they're dead! Definitely dead. The moment Kim opened his mouth of efining exploitation as he did, I cringed and wanted to scream at him. I wanted their team to go up against Carrie's. It's a very gaping hole. Honestly, as a whip speaker, I wouldn't know how to rectify that given thateverything crashes down when your 1st speaker is weak. No matter how good the last speaker is. Especially if you cornered yourself in a tight spot as they did. I know. It happened to me many times before. Yeah, pretty much relaxing compared to tomorrow. ^^x Kishi Seta 縺薙ョ隨鷹。斐ッ譛ャ蠖薙§繧縺ェ縺繧医 Written in blood 月曜日, 2月 13, 2006
